Delete your WagWise account

You can permanently delete your WagWise account and its associated data at any time. This page explains how to make the request and what happens to your data.

Account Deletion Options

Choose the option that works best for you

You can delete your account directly inside WagWise, or request deletion by email if you can no longer access the app.

Option 1

Delete from inside the app

This is the fastest way to permanently delete your WagWise account.

  1. Open the WagWise app and sign in.
  2. Go to the Profile tab.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
  4. Confirm when prompted. For your security you may be asked to sign in again first.

Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out. This action cannot be undone.

If you see a message asking you to sign in again, sign out, sign back in, then repeat the steps above. This is a security check that confirms it is really you.

Option 2

Request deletion by email

If you can no longer access the app, email us from the address linked to your account and we will process your request.

Please use the subject line WagWise account deletion request and send it from the email address associated with your WagWise account so we can verify your identity.

We will confirm by email once your account has been deleted, normally within 30 days.

What gets deleted

When your account is deleted, we permanently remove the following:

Your WagWise sign-in account and authentication credentials

Deleted

Your WagWise profile details (name, contact details, preferences)

Deleted

Content you created in the app, such as Moments, playtime sessions, photos and captions

Deleted

Reminders, notifications and app settings stored for your account

Deleted

Locally cached data held on your device

Deleted
Clinic Records

What is kept, and why

WagWise connects you to your veterinary clinic. Some records shown in the app are owned and held by your clinic in its practice management system, not by WagWise. Deleting your WagWise account removes your access through the app, but it does not delete the clinic's own records.

Kept by clinic

Veterinary clinics are required to retain these records to meet their professional, legal and tax obligations. To request deletion or correction of records held by your clinic, please contact your clinic directly. We may also retain a limited amount of information where the law requires us to, for example to comply with legal, security or fraud-prevention obligations.
